SUBMISSION & RIGHTS TO WORK

we are closed for submissions.

Our submissions are open to poetry and short stories. No reading fees, no submission fees, no theme requirement, and no minimum or maximum character.

We accept submissions twice a year, operating on a term-on, term-off schedule. You are welcome to submit one poem or short story during each term.

It’s an incredible honour and we handle each submission with the sensitivity it deserves. We accept submissions from all around the world! All submissions must be in English AND must be original and previously unpublished. A member of our team will contact the selected for our online publication. If you haven’t heard back from PS within a month of submission sadly you have not been selected. But please don’t allow this to prevent you from submitting your work in the near future.

Writers and poets retain the copyright to their material. By submitting work, they agree to assign to The PS one-time rights for publication. We do not accept previously published work. Simultaneous submissions are allowed. However, if a submission is accepted by another publisher as well as by the PS, the author should notify the PS of their preferred publisher.

We do not accept link submissions; anything submitted in that format will not be considered for publication. Please ensure you type your poem or short story directly.

Please keep in mind that if we have previously offered you publication and you accepted, we will not consider future submissions from you unless you participate in a competition.This is done to provide other individuals with the chance to have their work published.
