MY APPETITE IS HUGE

I eat first before I share,

So that when I leave, I’d be sure

There was no grudge to bear.

When I give, I give without fear,

And I am not scared to receive,

For mastering this art is daunting,

And that makes it rare.

People say they’d rather be givers than receivers,

But how would the giver have purpose

If there is no receiver to give this purpose meaning?

The wise man said, “Givers never lack.

This I know is true,

For as much as the giver is open to receive,

So also will his palm be widely open to give.”
